Philippians 1:6

6being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Hey guys and gals--I'm sorry to say that neither Kris or I have updated this lovely devotional in a while--so hence I'm making amends for all of you. I would like to share with you about something that the Lord has laid upon my heart to share with all of you. I would like to share about the mysteries of God working through us. God has amazing plans for all of our lives and sometimes its hard to imagine God using us for His wonderful purposes when we consider ourselves unworthy, unholy, or well just not perfect in God eyes to do what He has called us to do. I mean none of us really deserve the Grace of God but God so freely gives it to us with open arms. God will in fact help us work through the salvation that He has given us to where "He will carry out the good works that He has called us to do until the day of the return of Christ Jesus".

I mean we can try to condemn ourselves or well let Satan condemn us for the wrongs that we have done in life but Jesus has already forgiven us for all of those imperfections--Jesus did that for us on the cross--and He just desires to complete within us the very things that He has called us to do. Whether its being a missionary, a school teacher, a lawyer, a minister, a fireman, etc. Whatever God has purposed in your heart to do--just follow Jesus with a willing heart. Let God help you let go of the many imperfections you see yourself having.  Pray and get into God's Word--seek "Christian Counseling" if you need too--do whatever God and yourself need to do--God will work out all the details. Don't accept the lies that Satan tries to tell you about your life and/or destiny that God has for you. Keep pressing onward in Jesus Name. Don't let anything hold you back. Run the good race--and NEVER LOSE HOPE!

Becoming a Christian and/or being a Christian is NEVER EASY but Jesus will always carry our burdens, give us rest, and never leave us or forsake in our most difficult times--and even when we don't realize it ya know. I mean hey look at Saul who later became Paul in the Bible. "Saul" who later became "Paul" was a murderer of Christians and than later devoted his life to serving Christ Jesus His Lord.

Nothing I mean nothing can seperate us from the LOVE OF GOD. NOTHING--wowee--thats amazing--God can freely use us as His vessels when we "let go" of our imperfections and just let God work through those things in our lives that CAN and TRY TO get in the way of what God truely has for us. I've not had a perfect life myself---- but I'm realizing that God can use even the most imperfect life--and if I've made some mistakes that God forgives me and helps me to move on--to help me truely realize that truth found in God's Word in Philippians 1:6. Isn't God amazing? Yeah I think so--so don't think that your life can't be used for God's glory even if you've made soooooo many stinkin' mistakes in life that you can't seem to forgive yourself or others for them because all you can seem to hide behind is your own shame and hurt--LET GO and LET GOD do His work in your life my friends--and let Him complete the good works in your life that He has called you to do--God Bless--Anna Jacobsen DontConform_Transform Staff

Refugee Safehaven

Consider how your life will be in twenty years? Will you be one of those overworked adults whose forgotten all important things in life to the love of money? OR will you still continue to follow God, knowing he's the control over all things, and will take you back no matter what you do?

You see, once you've done a terrible sin, perhaps you had sex and someone is now pregnant who shouldn't be. Maybe, you got caught drinking. OR maybe, just maybe, you just lost your trust in some of your friends. Whatever happened, did some people turn against you? Do your friends no longer look at you the same way? Have you broken their hearts so much that they can't find the power to fogive you?

If you ever find yourselve in this situation, where it feels like everyone has turned against you, like time has just frozen solid - the type of situation where you begin to feel isolated, insecure. I have news for you. God will still take you in, even if your friends don't. No matter what your crime or your sin -- God is willing to forgive you as many times as it takes to make you understand his love for you. Run into God's arms. He's your safehaven, your resting place, your refuge. How could you not want refuge? God can help you get back up on your feet  -- put your life back in order. Go to him --- KNOCK ON HIS DOOR - no matter who you are, you are not a stranger to him.

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. ”- Matthew 11:28

Joy: Lost Without It

It's been quite a while since the prior update, sorry for the delay. I have been sorting out a few difficulites of my own in my life, but I'll let this explain...

"Living in a way that doesn't involve you, Spirit, does just not work. O, have I tried so many repeated times only to find myself still stuck in that pit of dispair, looking up to the sky wishing I could only have a sole purpose in life. Many a nights, Spirit, I tried to find that purpose in this life of Christianity, but always seemed to never find the benefits. The world had a way of making all of its things look better than yours. But, really, Spirit, they weren't. Instead, they led me to that pit of dispair. I came across your book of John, chapter seventeen, verse thirteen..."

John 17:13
"I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them."

"...That was the benefit of Christianity: Right then and there, I thought to myself, Spirit. I finally understood Christianity right before I began to throw my last straw. The benefit was joy: the joy of knowing God gave me, a worthless piece of pond skum, a chance on this earth - a second fresh start, a new breeze to float upon. The world just left me void, no real joy or benefits. The world had nothing for me to look foward to, but now, now, Spirit, I do! I can't wait to see your face in heaven and thank you for giving me this joy and showing me the truth in the worlds deception, bringing out of the dominion of darkness through your redemption. Thank you, Spirit, thank you!"
